Excuse me but how am i supposed to find out something or have questions answered if no one ANSWERS THE PHONE!!!!. Been calling since last week left messages BUT STILL NO ONE CARES LOVELY TO RUN A CEMETERY AND NOT CARE. Hopefully you treat the dead better than the living.
My Great Grandma is buried at Oakwood Cementary. First time I saw her grave. I never knew I had couple relatives buried in Richmond. Nice Cementary and well kept up. She died at 43 years old and she was tight with my grandpa when he was a teen before she died. I'm glad I went and got to see her grave.
I have relatives and friends burried there. I like the fact that it is well kept. I visit often.
A historic cemetery, unfortunately it is not kept in good repair. The city would do well to float a bond for the restoration and upkeep of this and other historic burial grounds and to pay for it with some nominal, one dollar a person per year, tax. Our loved ones should be better kept and would certainly be better remembered if their final resting places were maintained more professionally.
