Overall the quality was good but not amazing, they sold out quickly and you have to order very early in the morning order to get selections. In my opinion this place is slightly over-rated and not worth all the effort to get the bakery items. We tried 5 pastries, 4 croissants of different flavors. The ones we liked better were the Salami as well as the feta spinach and the onion. The Chocolate chess pie dessert was very good.

Go too for savory breakfast experience. Amazing breads and great coffee too! Can’t wait until we can eat there and hang out again.nnThere are several parks close by so if the weather is good, grab a pasty and coffee and go to one of them to enjoy being outside.

There are croissants and then there are CROISSANTS. Sub Rosa Bakery, a corner cafe in a neighborhood with Revolutionary War ties, makes wood-fired CROISSANTS. Six mornings a week, they make six kinds of croissants from chocolate to almond to salami and cheese. Each one is made fresh and comes out buttery and warm.nnOpen Tuesday-Sunday from 8am to 5pm, go early to so have your pick from all of their daily croissants and pastries. They are so popular many flavors run out early.nnDuring the pandemic, they offer pickup only. Place your order online and text them when you are outside of their yellow building.nnGrab your warm croissant or load of bread and walk a few blocks to Patrick Henry Park and enjoy it at one of the picnic tables.

I took a bite before taking the picture :) Had a mushroom and cheese quiche which might have been one of the best quiches I’ve ever had. The crush was so light and flaky! Also had an almond croissant which was perfect.
