Mountain Lake Lodge

Spent Christmas 2020 week here. Absolutely love this place. We stayed in the lodge and have no complaints. Mike at Stony Creek Inn was amazing as was Jasmine and Whitney! Honestly the entire staff was superb! We can't wait to come back. Perhaps Thanksgiving week 2021. May even stay in one of the cabins. Thank you for making Christmas so wonderful!

Remote mountain top lodge with friendly staff, rustic accommodations, lots of outdoor activities for all ages.

Giving a 4 star because they were so sweet booking us very last minute and allowing us to check in early to rest from an overnight drive. Rooms are aged but as expected with the history of the property. Ours was clean and comfortable. The property is peaceful and relaxing. The coffee shop was a nice stop for a snack and pick me up. Although, there wasn’t much selection and the items available didn’t look fresh the service and coffee were great. We had dinner at Harvest inside the main building. The service was incredible but the mashed potato’s were instant when described as the chefs signature mashed potatoes. We spent over $100 for our meal which is expected for a location like this but with that we expected better quality than instant potatoes. Shortly after receiving our food a large family with young children was seated right beside us in an empty restaurant. Our Romantic dinner was immediately over and disrupted by children screaming and parents yelling. We have a child so we don’t mind families but in an empty restaurant it was an extremely poor decision on behalf of who seated them. We could no longer carry a conversation over the noise. Not to mention with Covid this is the closest anyone has ever been seated to us in an indoor space. We immediately had to get a box and end a meal that was otherwise going well. I give 4 out of 5 for the friendly staff and beauty of the location. Many improvements/ updates need to be made among all the property and better quality ingredients for the pricing of the restaurant. It was also sad we couldn’t purchase anything for our toddler in the gift shop because there were only a few limited items available for Approx 4yrs and older. All in all, we would visit again and hope to see it improve with time.

Our weekend was amazing! The service was amazing, and the snow was beautiful. They had great food lots to see! I really recommend it for people who like Dirty Dancing.
