New York Strip Steakhouse And Deli

Food was excellent, service was slow but okay. We had a party of 8 + a highchair and tried to call ahead. They were surprised when we walked in; no one had said anything. But the chicken piccata it fabulous and huge, and everyone else in our party was satisfied with their food as well. Definitely good food.

I called ahead to order. I was told 10 minutes and it was supposed to be ready. We ended up waiting for 40 minute. When we asked when it would be ready they were rude and unhelpful. We watched the manager talk to a customer for twenty minutes. When we complained she told us to calm down and there was no reason to be upset. Come to find out our food was sitting there for 10 minutes at the edge of the counter.

The steaks have no seasoning and are seared in such a way that all they taste like is burnt flesh. I've talked to dozens people in the area that refuse to go there for that reason. I would compare the cuts to the petro truck stop $8.99 special after the steaks were thrown on the floor. This place is the joke of the town. Anyone who likes these steaks has never had a good one.

New York Strip Steakhouse has become one of our favorite restaurants. We have never been disappointed here. Tonight we had the Brisket Mac and Cheese which is always a winner. Amazing mixes of flavors including chedar and Blue cheese, brisket and Bacon, topped with onion straws. More than two people can eat. We also tried the New York Italian Philly Beef sandwich. Tons of thin sliced savory roast beef topped with melted cheese pepper rings, (by request) and garnished with Italian seasoning, in sliced ciabatta bread. It was a little heavy on the Italian spices, but fantastic in every other way and again large enough for two. Definitely worth the drive to a small town in Idaho.

This place had some really awesome burgers. Maybe I was bias because I hadn't had a decent burger for the duration of the quarantine, but this place really hit the spot. Great food, great prices, standard wait time. I highly recommend.
