Many people don't stop to think of the vital information we can find and catalog from digitizing headstones and cemetery information. This location has shade and places to sit and contemplate, thinking on the life you have and those that aren't with us anymore. You can see family stories in the dates of the family that has passed, and you will have questions yourself - what would it have been like to lose a child? Or for a family of seven young children to have lost their mother? The grandparents who have their adult children and grandchildren buried beside them, lost on the same day? And yet, the way we choose to reflect on losing them, can be filled with thoughts of love and peace...we will all find ourselves here someday. On today, October 10, 2020 - World Mental Health Day - we are all equal, no matter who we are...just as we are every day, and in this moment I am at peace. It's this place...what can I say?

Beautiful cemetery!! Love the various memorials throughout the grounds. There's gorgeous views surrounding and it's well maintained.

We have family buried at this cemetery and the grass is always pretty well maintained. It’s in a good position in the city so that the cars driving on main roads really aren’t too loud so you can take your time to think about loved ones. There are some big trees that also contribute to the landscape.

Three seems harsh. But it's fair. The cemetery USED to be one of the best cemeteries in the state: it had charming stone walls around it and lots of mature trees. But they needed more places to bury people, so they tore out the walls and stuffed in more sites along the borders. I can't help but feel a little sorry for the people who are stuck on the slope near the sidewalk on the north side. What else are they supposed to do? Buy more land! But they've done that! So what else can they do? Buy even more land!

Beautiful, well kept, shady city cemetery. If you're visiting to play any GPS games, please remember to be respectful. Stop and read some of the memorials. There is neat history here. Both historical people and families, and historical information.
