Drove 25 mins for cookies and was not disappointed. The Salted Chocolate Chip and Sugar were really good. I was surprised even after a week the cookies were still as good.
From the moment you walk in you are overtaken by the wonderful aroma. Excellent food brought to you locally by excellent people. If you haven't tried Fork and Pie Bakery yet, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some great comfort food.
I was surprised to see this bakery with a stand on the west side of town at a harvest festival. From my experience it's worth a drive across town. The blueberry muffin is fantastic. It had a crisp outer shell with actual blueberries inside. It wasn't overly sweet like most. It was soft and crumbly inside.
I walked in the bakery itself was very cozy. I went to order the lady the helped me was not friendly at all! I had a few questions it was my first time there it seems I was annoying her. I did buy some stuff but I walked out feeling I put the lady out by helping me I will not go back. Which is sad because the place was very cute inside.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Fork and Pie Bakery in Newtown. Our favorite take-home treat was the Mushroom Parmesan Quiche - Excellent!nWe also enjoyed the ham and cheese hand pie, blueberry muffin and apple brown sugar pie.nWe will be back!!!
