I set an online appointment in early March to pick up a wedding cake tasting and drove 30 minutes to pick up the box in early April. When I arrived, both gates to enter the building were locked. Naturally, I tried calling next. After waiting a few minutes and the phone repeatedly ringing with no voicemail, I started looking for an employee door and checking to make sure I didn’t miss any messages. Of course, I had no messages to communicate how to pick up the box. When I finally found an employee door you could hear the phone ringing with nobody attending to it in the background. I was able to catch some bakers in the kitchen and one handed me my tasting. I received only three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, all with the same icing. If I can’t trust their communication to pick up a tasting, I absolutely do not trust their communication abilities to cater to my wedding. Their sample was also very small compared to other locations where I tested.
I placed an order for my 50th birthday cake 7 weeks in advance. The week before I emailed numerous times and also called so I discuss how I wanted the cake to look. She did not answer her phone or respond to my emails until a week later , 2 days before I was supposed to pick up the cake. When they finally emailed me, she couldn’t find my order and emailed back asking if I was talking about a cake that I ordered 2 years prior. She turned something simple into something stressful. The communication was terrible. She did not offer any discount or even an apology. To top it off it didn’t have the colors I wanted. The cake was a huge disappointment and was not what I wanted. I have ordered cakes here before but this is the last time. Bad customer service. A simple apology would have gone a long way.
I hesitated posting a review for this business, but I feel I must. I would have given 0 stars but that wasn’t an option. I ordered a chocolate cake for my grandson for his birthday and from the beginning there were some communication issues. The owner would not return calls or emails and I had to reach out multiple times. I originally stopped at the store and they were there and I paid a $30 deposit and was to pay balance of $30 when picking up cake. After they had my money, no communication. I finally was able to reach them and pick up cake. It looked ok, but upon cutting the first piece I knew something was horribly wrong. The cake didn’t look chocolate or taste chocolate. It was so dry my grandson choked on it. It was inedible. I tried to get a refund and did get half my money back but I will never purchase any goods from this company again. Their store is filthy as well.
Promises she can do what you want. Then never responds to emails again. But shes always posting videos of herself talking about random stuff so you know she has the time and is purposely just ignoring because she doesnt care. It is ok for an owner to pick and choose their customers but maybe just be honest and say you are overwhelmed and cant be of service instead of making me wait weeks for a response.
I ordered three cakes for my grandson's birthday... one for a smash cake photo shoot and the other two were for his one year birthday party.... all Mickey Mouse themed. They all were adorable and tasted soooo good! Definitely will order from here again!
