ABF Freight

Terrible customer experience. Was quoted $163 originally for a shipment. A couple days later, i got a phone call from them refusing to pick up my shipment unless I paid an additional charge for lift gate fee. Total came to $373.... Even though I had already been quoted for a LIFT GATE fee. Unfortunately I had to ship through them because I couldn't get through to any other shippers in the time crunch they put me in. What a joke of a company.

The absolute worst customer experience. On Friday 3/13 at 11am I spoke with Roseanne regarding an order that was confirmed to deliver within a time window that was nearing its end and I had not yet received a 1 hr call ahead notice. She dismissed my questions, told me I was one of 500 deliveries and they couldn’t possibly let each of us know when things were going to be late, and they would only “try” to call if the delivery wasn’t going to be there at all. I was shocked and shared the need for a better system given I had stayed home from work. She told me repeatedly she “didn’t care what I thought“ and hung up on me. I called the retailer with whom I had placed the $5,000 order and shared this experience much to their alarm but, sadly, unsurprised as this appears to be fairly common feedback about ABF. No empathy, no consideration for the customer. Brands, do not use this partner — it has a huge impact on your brand image and customer satisfaction when your shipping partner treats customers as unimportant and disregards their feedback. (addition: the actual delivery driver was really nice and helpful which unfortunately did very little to remedy my sentiment after my experience with Roseanne).

Left the package in the street, not even bring it to the curb. This is horrible.

U-pack drivers were great! Delivered and picked up with curtsy calls both times to say when they would be there. Would definitely use this service again

Ordered a box truck with dispatcher on a Friday he gave me pickup number for Monday. I called them Monday to check on what time ABF will be there. They said they fired the dispatcher and we are not getting the truck today.nAnd can’t give me the box truck for the timeline that it needed to deliver. But could give me a 45’ truck but I would have to meet them at Wendy’s by the highway. I would have to manually handle the loading of my pickup with the pallet. Then unload it at Wendy’s and load and wrap it for ABF semi driver.nI should just drive it myself to PA.nWhat a joke. Donna the dispatcher was a very rude person. Don’t use this jacked up company.
