The Confectionary

We ordered our cake and cupcakes from here for our wedding on June 20, 2020. The owner was overall helpful although at times there were communication delays/issues. We we're upset that we were not able to do a to go tasting due to COVID despite offering a few other options for pickup as we live 3.5 hours away and were having a destination wedding. We offered a few alternate dates and times to do the to go tasting as we were going to be in town and were even willing to extend our stay in order to pick up the cupcakes. We ended up getting our cupcakes through the mail, which was not a good experience. The cupcakes came in terrible condition due to the delivery service. The owner truly felt bad about the situation and showed that she cared and was unhappy with how the delivery went. She even offered us a free anniversary cake, which was appreciated but still did not change the fact that our tasting was not ideal. We would have preferred to choose our cupcake choices for the tasting as we did not end up ordering any of the ones that were chosen for us for the tasting. She did give us a refund on 5 dozen cupcakes as well as we ended up having our guest list go from 135 people to 50. We liked our cake but it was small and not exactly how we imagined it to be. Overall, the cake and cupcakes tasted great!

Madison created my son's wedding cake and miniature pies. She did a fantastic job! All of our guests truly loved what she created. Very reasonable, punctual, and professional. I had contacted other home bakers and another local bakery in Fairfield County, but decided to go with The Confectionary. I am SO glad that I did!

I've worked with Madison several times for birthday and celebration cakes. She recently created my son and daughter in law's wedding cake. It was absolutely gorgeous and yummy, as always.

Fantastic little bakery! We got there in the afternoon and didn't really have much of a choice in flavors but we tried the birthday cake (chocolate batter and icing) and cho6with peanut butter icing. DELICIOUS!!! I should have come here earlier! Great place for some yummy treats and one of a kind gifts from Miss Molly's!

I attended the 200th birthday of General Sherman's birthday. The cake was phenomenal and was so moist and delicious! I forgot to take a photo at the party, but took this one off of their website.
