A1 Rose Movers

This was a bad experience. Do not use this moving company. Called and reserved a date for moving. Tried to confirm everything the beginning of the moving week. No response, no call back, nothing. Voicemail box was full and couldn’t take voicemails. Received a call the day before the move saying they wouldn’t be able to do the move. Luckily I was able to secure a truck and help to move myself. Did they really think I would be able to find other movers the day before a move? Very unprofessional and surprised they are still in business. Avoid this company at all costs!!!

A1Rose Movers moved me with care and compassion. Traveling from NJ to VT, packing art and breakables they treated all of my items and my move with care. The movers and management were personable, kind, supportive and beyond helpful taking care to treat every item as a treasure. Highly recommended!

I would recommend A-1 Rose Movers- they did such a great job for our move. It was hot and humid and they worked very efficiently. They carefully wrapped and organized the furniture. Very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. This is the least professional mover I have ever had. I have moved over 40 times (airlines family). These movers broke items, delivered our items to the wrong house (two heirloom chairs from my mother), severely damaged furniture and lost items. They stacked book boxes on top of Fragile boxes, even though they were clearly labeled with bright yellow and pink labels. Not only would they not make the move right by offering repairs or the return of our items, but they would not return our phone calls. They wouldn't even answer the phone when we called them. They would not answer texts. You should also know that they are NOT LICENSED to move in the state of New Jersey or the United States. They carry minimum insurance that only covers their trucks. This mover is the worst of the worst. No matter what the price quoted is, it is not worth it. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE MOVERS.

I was given a quote for 6 hours because that was the estimate for moving all my stuff. I told the owner, Roy, that I was probably not going to have that many boxes to move because I was going to move them myself. He NEVER told me that there was a 6 hour minimum. I only found that out when they were done moving when I said, “it wasn’t six hours”. He then informs me of the 6 hour minimum. I told him if I had known that, I would have had them move more and I would not have done it myself. He said that they didn’t want to spend all day moving, which is what I PAID them to do. So before the move, I get the form that has to be sent according to the state. It says that “blah blah” and the amount of the insurance. Standard insurance for damages is $1/pound. You can buy extra insurance if you want. So I called the owner of A1 Rose Moving Company after emailing multiple times for an answer if they have ever had a claim and getting no response and ask him about the insurance since my two bedrooms furniture are worth a lot more than $1/pound and I am concerned if anything happens. He tells me that additional insurance is about $350 but he guarantees that if anything happens, he will take care of it to make it right. Should have known better right there. During the move, it takes them almost an hour to get my headboard out of my room. Which by the way the other three guys are outside doing nothing but smoking cigarettes. They end up taking the legs off of my headboard to get it out of the bedroom, which means they have to take the decorative parts off of the headboard to get to the bolts. They put together my bed and then suggest that “I” just glue the decorative parts back on since they don’t have the glue or staples to put them back on. While they were trying to put them back on, they managed to break one of them. They also dragged my son’s mattress on something and tore the plastic sheet that was on it. When they put his bed back together, they did not bother the screw in all the screws. I found this out when my son was sitting on his bed and put his heel into one of the screws that was sticking out. And then I noticed all the missing screws that weren’t missing before they moved the bed. They also did not leave the Allen Wrench that was used to take his bed apart, which is the only way to take apart the bed. Then I noticed that there was a huge scratch on my son’s headboard that wasn’t there before the move. The living room mirror hooks were just gone. I found broken pieces of my dresser drawer tracks in one of the drawers when I was putting clothes away so the drawers don’t close properly now. And the washing machine that they didn’t bother to hook up because when they disconnected it, they broke the plastic housing that held the connectors in place and the hook up fell into the washing machine backing. I finally spoke to the owner and he said he would make it right. He comes to my house to put the decorative pieces back on my bed with “crazy glue” and manages to drip glue on my hardwood floor. Not only that but he didn’t even get one of them to match up with the original spot so now my headboard has this decorative piece that shows where it was supposed to be but isn’t. The owner said he would buy a new plastic sheet and get me a new Allen Wrench didn’t.
