Some people have two left feet- well I have two left hands! And yet, Mary is teaching me to play piano. I have known Mary for twenty years as my Minister of Music and choir director. Now she is teaching this old dog some new tricks. She is patient, joyful and a delight to work with each week. I can strongly recommend Mary for piano students of all ages!
Mary started giving piano lessons to two of my children (via Zoom) during the pandemic and she's been wonderful, especially given the challenging format. She relates to both my younger daughter and my near-teen. Because we hadn't been able to meet her in person, she even drove by our house and (socially distantly) delivered some surprises to the kids. I'd recommend her for any age piano student - she's so kind, caring, and good at what she does!
I found Mary on a Dover website soon after we all started our quarantine. My granddaughter loves piano and I had been looking around for a teacher for her. Mary answered my queries right away. I talked to my then 12 year old granddaughter and she was so excited. We have all enjoyed listening to what she has been learning from Mary. Mary started teaching my daughter piano when she was four years old, and we absolutely love her! She is patient and kind and provides the perfect balance between letting wiggly kids be themselves and focusing on the task at hand. Her teaching methods work - we took a break from lessons when my daughter started Kindergarten, but she still sometimes sits down at the keyboard and I hear her repeating the things Mary taught her almost a year ago! We are so excited to be returning to Mary for online lessons!
Mary has been giving piano lessons to our daughter for the last two years. She has thoughtful approach that meets students where they are and works with them to move at their own speed. She is caring and compassionate and makes learning piano an enjoyable experience for our 8 year old.
