Planet Fitness

For the price I feel like PF is a great gym and has a great staff at the Kearney location. I only have a few suggestions regarding equipment. I understand that free weights are very limited at planet fitness, but a slanted smith machine would be an amazing addition to the selection of equipment at PF. Another addition that I have seen in other PF facility black card area is an inferred sauna options. These would be awesome additions and greatly improve the overall experience at the gym.

Staff is very friendly and plenty of space for what ever you want to do. Cleaned a lot, I enjoy going, no judging. Very comfortable place.

I joined Planet Fitness early last year, (2020) after years with a family membership at my local gym. I paid my dues every month and paid the annual fee, but with COVID, I didn't use it as much, preferring to exercise at home or outside (for obvious reasons). I rejoined in January as felt like I needed to be more active given how poor the weather has been. After a couple months we decide to go back to our local gym so the whole family can attend. I go in to cancel my membership and they tell me I will already be charged the annual membership fee for the year because I did not cancel my membership by Feb 25th (4 days earlier). Now I guess I should have read my membership agreement a little bit closer and $40 is whatever but I paid 2 annual membership fees and I was a member for a total of about 9 months. After stewing on it on the way home I called back and asked to talk to the manager. I was told they didn't know when the manager would be in and they aren't allowed to the give refunds. I reached out to the corporate office and they told me that due to the fact that it was a franchise there was nothing they can do. Now I'll pay my second annual fee in under a year, but I hate being nickeled and dimed, and I'll never recommend Planet Fitness to anyone ever again.

I normally do not leave reviews. I’m a trucker that works out at different gyms daily. I was about halfway done with my workout when the manager came to me (Very Nice Lady) to tell me a member felt uncomfortable because they felt like I was staring. I again have never heard this anywhere and I am typically at 20-24 gyms per month. It was very offensive and kinda unnecessary. After she told me what she did I noticed a guy in a Anytime Fitness shirt that was in an area I was in earlier follow me to the locker room while I took my interworkout shake. He went to his locker opened it and got nothing as he stared at me from the corner of his eyes as if he was waiting for me to pack up and leave. After he realized I wasn’t leaving he walked back out of the locker room with nothing more than he walked in with. And here is what happened in that area earlier. I cleaned off the ab rocker machine and he walked up where his girlfriend/wife or whatever she may have been to him was working out. He then began yelling at her and holding the bottom of the ab machine I just cleaned to use. Looked at me twice so I looked back. Eventually he moved far enough for me to get on the machine. Prior to this his girlfriend/wife again don’t know their relationship but she was 2 bikes over from me. Every time I looked up she was looking at me. I can’t control that. If you don’t want your significant other looking at other people you may need to find a different place to workout. I dunno. Overall the gym was very clean and the equipment was newer with minimal wear. Locker room was clean and so were showers and bathroom stalls. Staff was very quick to replace towels and spray as necessary. Also very professional. I however will not be returning because being lied on can cause problems in the long run. Awesome gym with awesome staff. Keep up the professionalism and cleanliness. Definitely a 5 star experience except for the liar that was there.

I have been coming everyday to get ready for boot camp and every staff member is so friendly and they remember you by name the staff keeps the gym so clean and is on top of extra cleaning due to covid I feel comfortable to be here every single time!!!
