I needed a last minute bday cake for my stepmom. We found this bakery by chance and I popped in. It may have been the BEST cake we’ve ever had. The moistest chocolate cake and the frosted was heavenly. Not greasy or too sweet like many are. The owner and I chatted a bit and baking is his passion for 50 years! Wonderful, wonderful place. And so reasonable. We will def be back when back to Michigan!
We have Been going To Southgate Bakery for awhile and knew this was the place for our daughter’s wedding cake. The cake was delicious with people raving about the cake. They also have THE BEST pastries in town. The cheesecake is melt in your mouth fantastic, strudel delicious. Highly recommended Southgate Bakery

Great place. They went above and beyond when my wife went to check out this establishment for the first time! She is very hard to impress when it comes to frosting and she was very happy. She will definitely be back for the next grandchilds birthday!
