We have moved states 4 times and this, by far has been our best move. The driver and his staff were extremely hard working, diligent, professional and personable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to move. The team showed integrity and made this move easy and that’s saying A LOT!
I could not have been happier with my experience with Coleman Allied. I have a huge appreciation for crew leader Scott and his team of Brian and Keenan. They took great care with every piece they moved and made what is normally a stressful process completely stress free. They were nothing short of amazing. I’ve already recommended Coleman Allied to a friend of mine and told them to ask for Scott’s team. They take excellent care of you.
Baaaad, bad. We weren’t going to complain, but we keep finding stuff that the movers did and getting mad all over again. I have a lot to say about our experience. Very long story short, we used them twice. The first time was to put stuff in storage, the second to take things out. The first experience was okay except one of the movers got sick and had to lay down in his car for the entire move. Luckily, they ended up only charged us for a 3 person job instead of a 4 person (though it did take longer than expected) Other than that, fine. The second move... woo buddy.nn- one guy broke the bulb off the wood post of the front porch of our rental propertyn- another guy dropped a container of stuff in the street that had to be cleaned up (stinks when you’re charged by the hour)n- the team of 4 were pretty darn slow; they took a lot longer than our previous team of 3 (and that was with two of us packing up our cars and helping move everything, so it was actually a 5 person team)n- they didn’t have anything except blankets and skids, so they had to ask us to figure out another way to move our TVs even though we told the company we had TVs when we booked themn- they “found” 3 lamps that were broken after being stored (although I’m pretty sure one of them they tried to take apart to put in a box and then realized it was one connected piece- I found one guy yanking at the attached metal lampshade and he explained to me that it was broken and he was trying to fix it. I asked him to leave it all together and we would put it together later, but now the lampshade and hardware are missing).n- they scratched the wood floors bringing in the washer and dryern- they put small boxes in one big box to move them easier but they opened and dumped out some of the boxes when doing so; we had a board game that must’ve fallen out and so the pieces were everywheren- A lot of our plastic storage boxes had cracked under the stress of having heavy stuff stacked on top of them.n- we wrapped all of our framed art in extra thick industrial postal paper designed for art, and still we had shattered glass we had to deal with.n- they hid their drinks/trash behind dumpsters at our storage unit, so we got yelled at (thank goodness not charged)n- they didn’t wear masks in our house. I get not wearing them outside, but they didn’t even bring any with them. When I asked them to put it on, they made a fuss saying that the job was hard enough without themn- 3 of them complained the whoooole time. It felt like friends moving my stuff, not professionals. They’d say things like “where does this one go?? Let me guess— upstairs! Ugh” One guy didn’t complain though, and he was the fastest. If there were 4 of him it wouldn’t be so bad. He also didn’t drop anything. I’m giving 2 stars just for him. It was the other 3 that seemed a bit clumsy (and they were younger than him, which was weird) The other 3, if a box had to go to the basement or upstairs they would complain (and now that we’ve unboxed stuff, we found that they hid a lot of boxes that were supposed to go on other floors underneath other boxes on the main floor, so ultimately we had to move them later)n- they kept telling me that I didn’t have to stick around, which I found odd since we were told to not leave a team by themselves with our stuff. They told us to let them do the work and we could skedaddle if we gave them the codes. We didn’t, but I thought that was a weird request.n- ultimately the first move was about $1900, the second was $2200 for 10 hours, and we helped move things the whole time. If I ever move again, I’m trying a different company. I may have expected too much when paying a couple grand, but after buying a house, a couple grand is a lot of money to me, so I expected... something different.
My household goods were supposed to be delivered today on 8/1. Instead, we find out after the scheduled delivery time that our “shipment” was overlooked and not added to a delivery route for today when Monday, 7/27, I was told that we were confirmed for delivery. Now my family and I have to wait another 2 days (on top of the 2 weeks we’ve already been waiting) to get our things and remain in temporary housing. This has been the worst experience.
This company lost a large wardrobe box. Their inventory was inadequate and they say they will replace at full value but only offered less than a third of the value. The movers they contracted to deliver broke multiple items and threw a leg off of one of our dressers in the backyard hoping we wouldn’t find it. My wife saw them do this. The inspector they sent to inspect the broken items was rude and disrespectful he acted as though our items didn’t matter and held no value.
