I had a truly bizarre experience at PC Outlet. I took in our laptop to have the jack replaced. The computer was working well, but the jack was broken, making it difficult to plug the cord into it. I used it just before taking it in, and there were no other problems. I paid up front. When I inquired three days later, they told me that the computer would not function because it was in need of a new motherboard. I disputed the need for a new motherboard, because, again, we had never had problems with the computer other than the somewhat damaged jack. I asked the owner to try another power cord to be sure that it had not been damaged as a result of problems related to the jack and struggling to plug it in. He asked me to hold, returned to the phone and replied that he tested it, and it was not the cord. After my VERY adamant disagreement regarding the need for a new motherboard, and after telling him that I had just used the computer and sent out messages before bringing it in, he said that they would replace the motherboard at no charge at all for parts or labor. He said that it would take several days for the motherboard to arrive. I called three days later and was told that the person working on my computer was not available, and that the manager was also not available, and the motherboard had not arrived. I did not receive a return call that day or the next. Two days after that, I called again, and the manager was busy. Later that day, the manager returned my call to tell me that our computer was ready, and that the problem had been the power cord, which was damaged. When I picked up our laptop, I confronted the owner. I reminded him that I had held on the phone while he had tested the cord. He responded that he HAD tested the cord, and that the computer still didn't work (???). He then said that they replaced the jack, but the new jack was defective, so they replaced it with a second one, and also replaced the motherboard. He was then surprised to receive a call at home over the weekend from his employee stating that the problem was the cord. Given that I had been told over the weekend that they were still waiting on the motherboard to arrive, I found this difficult to understand. In the end, we have our computer, presumably a new motherboard, a new jack, a new cord, and an interesting experience with a manager who seemed to bend himself into a prezel explaining away inconsistencies (several of which I have not detailed). Whatever the reasons for the inconsistencies, I do not recommend risking your computer by taking it to this business.

Never took a computer there for service and to tell the truth I buy my computer parts online. However, for cords, connectors or cables for anything computer or cell phone related they have the most complete inventory and the best prices. Plus if on the rare occasion they did not have what I was looking for they sent me to the place that did without BTW sending me to a box store that will charge me 4Xs the price.

It's definitely not a fancy shop. But fair priced computer repair and help is hard to find.nnMy laptop was overheating and had viruses.nnThey told me it was not over heating and it was a virus. they said they fixed it. I had to take it back 2 more times for the same problem of over heating. I just bought a new laptop because i was frustrated getting nickled and dimed by them.nnI just brought my old laptop there again last Friday. It's fixed. but after 4 times?nwow...nnNO ONE was willing to talk with me about the issue.nI believe its because its just poor management.nntheir not perfect. I probably won't go back. Unless they decide to address my concern. Which I'm sure they won't.

Would not recommend it. Still waiting after 8 days just for a clean out of computer and now it 10:45 and they open at 10am and they are still not open. Tryed to call them after the first 4 days they had computer and phones were not working for 3 days.

Prices are good but they don't open as they say in schedule they postedbon the door.
