Grand Traverse Pie Company

Stopped for lunch and decided to have dessert first. I eyed the plump apple dumping with pecans and caramel sauce. The pastry was flaky and delicious. Enough for me to save half for later. My bro ordered the giant cinnamon roll with whipped butter frosting. Highly recommended.

My fiance and I stopped in Grand Traverse Pie Company in Downtown Lansing on a recent visit during the week. We only had a short time to eat and it was at the peak time so we jumped into the first restaurant we saw. Fast service, nice place, good variety, and good food. No complaints. Right in downtown so flooded with state employees.

This was my second time eating here. The first time I got the chicken pot pie, salad and dessert combo. That was a good value and everything was very good. This time I got the chicken salad sandwich on croissant. It included a tiny sample of applesauce. There was very little chicken salad for $9. What I could taste was good but didn't feel it was a good value for the price. I'll be back and try something else next time.

Warm and comforting just like the food they serve. I had the Tex-Mex salad which was colorful and satisfying. Some items can be pricey (a slice of pie is five bucks). I have only been in the afternoon. My guess is that the breakfast and lunch rushes are bonkers. Give it a shot. Peace.

I absolutely love coming to grand traverse pie company. I'm at the one on the corner of Allegan and Washington. There pie is simply marvelous in every way imaginable. I am writing this about the service which has truly impressed me. That's why this is one of my happy places I enjoy coming to when life has before times more difficult than usual just to be able to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere service, and food.
