I had the privilege of enjoying items from this small batch bakery as an overnight guest at the Weld street Inn. This mother (Anne Marie) and daughter (Arlenea) team have created a batch of goodies that are worth taking a short dive to get. I watched the bagels being made by hand in the kitchen and talked with them as they described their process and journey toward making some of the best bagels I ever had. The sun-dried tomato bagel was simply fantastic. The ingredients they added were indicative of the quality you can expect from a small batch bakery. We left with an assortment of muffin tops, banana bread muffins, cranberry muffins and of course some extra bagels. According to Anne Marie, you can call ahead to order and sometimes they have any assortment of yesterday's bagels for sale. This is probably Dixfield's best kept secret!
