Was. Ok ordered bacon chez burger no lettuce or tomato med rare. Got Let + tom. Well done. Asked for relish mustard got packets serve was good. Decor. Of restaurant could use major update.
Food was delicious & well-portioned. The staff were very attentive, friendly, & patient. My kids loved their model train that traveled through the dining area!
The restaurant is in dire need of renovations, but the food was quite good, and the staff was friendly. When I asked if the Cole slaw was homemade, they said yes, but it tasted like it was packaged from Hannaford or something. I'd like to see the menu updated, but overall, not a bad place to go to for lunch with grandmama
Ordered take-out tonight, and everything tasted fresh, homemade and not from the freezer like you'd might expect at national chains. I had fried shrimp, w/onion rings, cole slaw. Huge portions, even if ordering a small size. My parents first took me to Governor's when I was a kid at their original location in Old Town in '85 and is still the same 35 years later. Even the little details when ordering take-out are great: Easy online ordering, good sturdy containers, any condiment you want.
The atmosphere sucked, the meal was not cooked to order, items ordered were forgotten. Paid for it and then some.. Coffee was not warm and no flavor... My over all review.... I'll never go back.
