Calumet Bakery

I had a great experience with this young Caucasian man who had black frame glasses! He was; focus, great customer service and accommodated to everything I needed! We need more people like him here, this is someone you need to keep and promote to train some of the front customer service counters. I came in earlier that afternoon, and had to walk out because of lack of customer service with this lady in front counter. I came back in a hour later, because I wanted to buy some of your coffee cakes and give out as gifts. I was so happy I did, this young man was a great listener and so professional with wrapping my items together. He really made my day... Thank you!

So I went in today to design and order a cake for my wife. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I have never designed a cake before and they were very helpful and patient. Great experience so far

For years I have gone to this bakery and I mean years never had a problem ordered birthday cakes pastries donuts bread, my sister picked up a cake on Saturday for us to have on Easter Sunday to celebrate my birthday while the family was together, the outside of the cake beautiful absolutely beautiful went to slice the cake open it was the wrong cake I compared the slip that my sister had which was the order, The filling with strawberry gel which I thought they had a filling that had bits and pieces of strawberry a post a whole strawberries OK my mistake chocolate cake not one layer of yellow cake and one layer of chocolate cake I wanted a full chocolate cake my sister specified everything and it was written on that receipt ticket for what she asked for when we open the cake we didn’t get it she paid close to $30 for that cake,Here’s the thing the inside of that cake looks like a Sam’s Club grocery store cake in the past Calumet cakes were light airy and fluffy this one was dence no flavor no flavor..Highly disappointed so I called the bakery and had to send my pictures along with the receipt via text message to someone this morning still waiting for a reply six hours later disappointed very disappointed

The cakes, donuts, and even the coffee are all good. It's a very busy location but they work to get you out of there quickly. The strawberry yellow cake is excellent. The bow tie donuts are even better.

Sorry but I don't understand why people buy cakes from Calumet! I did not like it! Now I did like the donuts and the strawberries. But the cake is dry and not really flavorful. You know when you bake lots of cake for me while presentations and decorations are nice you still want the cake and icing to taste good too!
