The pastries are delightful and the breads are so good. I love this place. You can bring in your paperbacks and trade for what other books that people bring in.

I love it here! I had a breakfast pastry with spinach and cheese. My goodness, it was soooo good. Nice staff. CLEAN bathroom.

Mexican here. This bakery is what kept me sane during the great lock down in 2020, so I'm obviously biased. Their pastries are good and somewhat representative of what you can get in Mexico (I still don't know why they don't serve conchas de vainilla though), I recommend their palmiers (orejitas). If you like more common ones, try their cheese Danish or the feta & spinach pastries, sooo good. Their baguette is also amazing is you're looking for plain bread. I have tried other things like their beef tortas and I have to say they're much better than other tortas I've tried in town (and more affordable too).

I ordered a Tres Leches cake for a family birthday and it was terrific. I gave them vague directions for the decorations (not really knowing what the family member would want) and what they came up with was creative and more detailed than I expected. Highly recommended!

My wife brought me a slice of tres leches cake from here once and I loved it so much I started to get them regularly. We have since moved and oh how I miss the tres leches cake from Rick’s! I’ve tried several different places and can not find one as moist as the one you can find from this bakery. I would travel back to Urbana just for a slice of this delicious cake!
