Spiro Salt Room and Massage Therapy

For my birthday, a friend booked us salt scrubs at the Spiro Salt Room. Nestled in a darling section of Mountain Brook, this spa is a gem, hidden in a mid-century modern shopping mall. I have been to several spas, but not all are as welcoming as this one. As soon as we arrived, Nika greeted us and made us feel at home. It smelled amazing in there. Within minutes, our masseuses directed us to our rooms.nnLindsay was my masseuse. She was professional, but also comforting. She explained the process beforehand so I would know what to expect. The salt scrub and emollients used were made in-house, using the finest natural ingredients. They smelled wonderful. As soon as Lindsay started, I felt relaxed. The session lasted 30 minutes. I could have stayed all day.nnAfter our scrubs, I met up with my friend. Before we could make further plans, Nika asked if it was my birthday and she offered us a free session in the salt room. Yes please! We were both happy and relaxed, and both my friend and I agreed that this was one of our best spa experiences.nnNo fuss. No anxiety. Quick, professional - if not loving - attention to detail and care made this trip worthwhile. We booked our next appointment before we left! Next time, we plan to stay longer!

Have to wear a mask even though they don’t advertise that it’s required during the service, booked a couples massage and had to get massages in separate rooms. If I wanted a single person‘s massage I would’ve booked a single person‘s massage. It is false advertising to advertise a couples massage and then place in separate rooms. And the owner had the audacity to tell me to pull my mask above my nose as she spoke to me with her mask down also. It’s not very relaxing having to wear a mask during a massage. A terrible massage, terrible customer service and a waste of money. There are much better places around here now that I’ve done more thorough research

The massage itself felt great of course, but I can honestly say that I have not had a sluggish morning since my first message treatment. They began to work out quite a few knots through my frame and muscles. My energy level has increased already. I believe in the process and I'm really anticipating my next sessions to see what other improvements I will see from my body in my day to day.

Spiro Massage is my absolute favorite in all of Birmingham - and I’ve gone to a lot of places around here! I had the best massage of life in Denver and have been looking to recreate it in Birmingham but fallen short. Nika at Spiro has now taken the “best message” place in my life!nnThis place is clean and they follow Covid protocols. Nika’s massages are never the same, which I love! You can’t get a better deal than here either - I’m a family share member, which means I pay $95 a month for a 1.5 hour massage. I highly recommend Spiro (especially Nika).
