1. I made the reservation with Kim. She was awesome, incredibly friendly and helpful.n2. We have 2 large dogs. A Golden and a Golden Doodle. They were welcomed here with treats and great pet info for walking. Dog bowls in the room!n3. Well built historic inn with gorgeous large rooms! No noise! Best nights sleep in 3 days on the road.n4. Linens were great.n5. Room was so nice we decided to order in, watch a movie and relax with our girls. Local Italian place Napolis..best pizza we have had in months! Fast delivery and still hot.nWe will add this to our short list of MUST STOPS traveling!
This was our first time ever staying here and our expectations were blown away.. the service was amazing, the staff was super nice and helpful and the restaurant was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone and cannot wait to visit again.. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience and we all loved hearing the stories from the staff members.
This is a beautiful and historic hotel. The service is top notch and the food is delicious. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Regardless of that - I will return whenever I am traveling in the area.

I recently stayed here for four nights. Very quiet location even though it’s located in downtown Parkersburg. Beautiful old hotel with several historical displays located throughout the hotel, which was interesting. Room was very standard, clean, etc. I suspect that the heating/cooling element wasn’t working as it didn’t respond to thermostat adjustment; but given the time of year it wasn’t much of an issue, and I didn’t complain because I didn’t want the hassle of changing rooms. The morning “breakfast” is literally abysmal. The pastries either tasted stale or oily so I only used that complementary service once. Being that COVID is still a thing, I can’t rate the maid service since that’s not available as an automatic amenity. Overall it was a quiet, acceptable stay. I may have had the entire floor to myself, it was that quiet.
