Everything was awesome!nnGood mac n cheese, great chicken tenders battered and crusted crispy to perfection, and the salad bar was good! They have several great cakes and pies to choose from as well, from cheesecakes, to traditional! Service was fantastic too. We will be back for surennWe were however told that the burgers and stuff will be going away, and they may make a move to just offer chicken and chicken fried stuff in 2 weeks. You may want to call first to see what they are offering. Don't go by the menus on their website.

The food was fantastic. The best meatloaf ever. The fried pickles where great. The family also enjoyed the chicken fried steak. Blackened salmon and fried catfish. All the food was exceptional. The place was not crowded and the service was spot on. We will be back for sure. Thank you Hometown!

We have been to Home town a multitude of times. Decided to leave a review. Most of the time the food is great. Every now and then something is a little off but not ever enough to keep me from coming back. The one thing that keeps me from wanting to come back is the service. That is hit or miss as well,nbut more often a miss than a hit. I feel like these servers receive ZERO training. Almost every time I’m there we have to get up and hunt down our server for some reason or another because we can’t find them. So frustrating! I want to love this place and support local business owners but an owner or management needs to step in and show these people what real service is.

This is the place to go for home cooking. The chicken fried steak is delicious. The fried okra is fresh. Not your typical frozen variety. The sweet tea comes in a quart Mason jar and is perfect. The staff is very courteous and attentive. Definitely going back when we're back in the area. If your going through Decatur, TX and hungry this is the place to stop at.

Good food, large portions and lovely staff. Had a plate size chicken fried steak. The fried green beans are a great appetizer. Fried pickles excellent as well.
