The cake, frosting, and decorating were fantastic for my 7-year olds' tropical-themed birthday cake! Reasonable price. I highly recommend.nnI initially selected a sand castle picture from the design book, but then I spoke with the decorator about what I was really looking for. She did an excellent job designing a free-hand beach scene on our 6-inch round cake. She also put the happy birthday message on the side of the cake, which made space for candles on top of the small cake and worked great for photos. The chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream frosting were delicious -- soft, moist, and great flavor. It was a favorite dessert at the party, and we went back for more every night until it was gone.nnOne tip: I definitely recommend talking directly with the bakery team about what you're seeking versus leaving a written order. Since they're making the cake, they may be able to do something more custom to what you're looking for and ensure they get the messaging right. It worked great for me!

I called on a Saturday to get pricing on a wedding cake and was told I'd need to come in on a weekday to get a quote. Bee Cave is 45 minutes from me, but I needed a quote so I agreed. They took down my information and said I should come in at 5:30 PM on Monday. When I arrived at 5:30, I was informed that all the decorators actually leave at 4 PM and that it was strange I was told to come in at 5:30. I was told I didn't need an appointment and that I should just come by before 4 any week day. If this were my local HEB, it wouldn't be a big deal, but since I'm so far north, it is. Please be sure that staff are informed of hours. I'm going to have to go elsewhere to get a quote for a cake.
