Staff is always nice. Food is good. I come here every week with my best friend and it never disappoints! A lot of bad reviews about the cleanliness but people don’t seem to care that the customer is supposed to take their plates and trash to designated areas, not left on the table. We love Panera and are so excited that one opened in Abilene! It is beautiful inside, the soups and baked goods are all on point, just like every other Panera we’ve loved in other cities. People were really quick to judge a newly opened restaurant; come on, Abilene, we always say we want more dining options, let’s give this place a chance!
Bread good. No french onion soup at lunchtime 11:15 AM, small amount of meat on sandwich. Call prior to going to see which menu items are available. Offered pastries since they were out of french onion soup. Did not try pastries since no soup
We’ve attempted to eat at this Panera since they have opened and each time we’ve gone we’ve wound up leaving and not being able to eat. This time when we finally got to the drive thru speaker, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait JUST for them to take our order. We decided to exit the line, and wanting to give them a second chance, we then tried calling the restaurant to see if the wait inside was any better. We called twice and no one answered the phone both times.
Food ordered for pickup, got a message it was ready at the quick pickup counter. I went in and looked at the screen and shelf to find my name wasn’t on the board, and no food was on the shelf. After 30 minutes a worker took a bag that had been sitting in the kitchen and set it on the shelf. I checked the bag and found my name on a receipt, and the food I ordered listed, so I took it home.nnThe food tasted alright, so I kind of want to write a more positive review, but 1/4 of the order was correct. Not things like, no cheese, or add avocado. It was entirely different menu items.
