I was quoted a price of $300 to move an upright piano 10 miles (straight through the back door and straight into my home over concrete, no stairs either way) and when I said it was going to be more than I thought the salesman rudely asked “well how much did you think it would be?” When I replied that I needed to talk about it with my wife he was very pushy and tried to get me scheduled anyways even though I said 3 times I would need to talk about it and call him back.nnThe piano we’re looking at buying is an old piano so it may be that it really costs that much to move it even though it’s such a short distance. The price seems a bit high to me, but I would have appreciated if the employee explained why it would cost so much instead of counter with being pushy and a bit rude.nnBased on my interaction with this employee I’m going to look elsewhere.
Ray has been working on my Yamaha C-3 grand for 5 years. I could not be happier. His attention to detail and his desire to “know” the piano he tunes has resulted in an instrument I love to play, and to hear my grandchildren play. I recommend him highly.
