We stopped in here to pick up a birthday cake and eat lunch. We loved their lunch, got a few different sandwiches and they were all delicious. The cake we picked up was beyond good, we got the strawberry cake and it was awesome. Whether you're getting a cake or stopping in for lunch I would highly recommend Dacapo's. The space inside is limited but it wasn't overly crowded when we were there. It's an order at the counter and pick your table type restaurant.

This local deli/pastry shop is fantastic. I've eaten here multiple times and always had a great experience. They over a wide range of options from sandwiches and salads, to soup and quiche. They have great combo meals which allow you to try a little of both. This is a small restaurant where you can see everything being made in the back when you order so it feels very intimate. Everyone I've seen working there has always been very friendly and seems to care how you like your food.nnThe desserts the place sells are incredible. They have a cookie that's banana chocolate chip and it's delicious. I've also eaten a slice of the carrot cake they sell and it was equally tasty. I'd love to try more but then I'd way 500 pounds...It might be worth it though, the food is that good.nnI would definitely recommend them for a relaxing lunch or if you need a dessert made for a party/function. The quality and taste are top notch.

Large menu (daily featured items) of sandwiches on fresh bread, cakes, pies, cookies, hot dishes, coffee, espresso.nSeemingly popular, smallish dining room with about 6 small tables and 3 or 4 booths.nnWe stopped in for coffee and espresso. We waited about 15 minutes, after ordering, to receive our order. It was not busy at the time of our order. The coffee was okay; espresso could have been better.nWe'll go back because the sandwiches we saw looked good and sometimes not everything goes as smoothly as a customer or proprietor desires.

This is probably one of my top favorite bakeries in Houston! Conveniently located off Studewood and I-10, it has your garden variety of sweets to any specialized cake flavor or pie you need! I needed a banana pudding cake, not banana pudding, and they delivered! If you are not in the mood for sweets, then try their lunch menu! Their soups always hit the spot! This is a must when you are in the Heights!

I liked their avocado tortilla soup! It was chunky and flavorful. I also liked their pear bread, it was delicious and tasted fresh, soft n moist. I’ve never had pear bread before but I’m glad I tried it cuz it’s really good! I also had their oatmeal cookie n it was good too.
