Paradise Bakery & Cafe

I am originally from Arizona and all of the Paradise Bakery’s closed many years ago. As soon as I saw one (this one) I knew we had to stop so I could get some cookies. 7pm on a Friday and they put a limit on the number I could get “because it’s too close to closing time and we have to control how much goes out to each customer” So basically you just don’t want to bake anymore...nnNot only is this extremely confusing to me, they’re open for another 2 hours and the manager made the cashier come out and tell me.

First of let me say that up until now I have been a loyal customer of Paradise Bakery. But that all changed today. I have never been treated with so much discourtesy and disrespect. In in the interest of transparency, I do not wear a mask due to a condition. I have made the owner aware of this in the past and I have never had an issue with this establishment till now. I showed up to buy my usual breakfast sandwich as I have done every couple of weeks. I stood in line for over 10 minutes during which time a couple of employees past me saying nothing. When I finally got to the counter there was a girl there that I have not seen before. She told me that I had to leave if I did not wear a mask. I tried to explain to her my reason for not wearing one and she was just rude and refused to take my order. This was after she saw me standing in line for the entire time without saying anything about it. I even suggested that she take my order since I had already been there for over 10 minutes and I would step outside, but she still refused to serve me. I realize that this current environment has been tough on everyone, but I do not see that as a reason to be condescending and rude to your customers. I cannot imagine that this business can afford to lose loyal customers or any customers for that matter. Since I have been apart of the Allen community for over 15 years I would expect a little more consideration. I know many of you will continue to visit this establishment despite my experience however me and my family will not.

Breakfast croissant was big but extremely bland. Basically tasteless. Tasted frozen even though I don't think it was. Coffee was good. Restaurant was dirty though. Multiple tables needed to be cleaned off and bathrooms were dirty. This is the 2nd time I've been to this location. I won't be back.

The food quality has really gone down here. Also, some of the staff is rude. I've been visiting for about a year now and it's not worth the money you pay for soup and salad anymore.

Allen/Fairview location. The last 2 times I have stopped by to purchase cookies they have been so dry. Don’t know if it’s because they leave out in the open air all the time or if they were stale. They used to be so good!
