We rented a Box Truck from Home Depot for hauling some construction ud83dudea7 materials and our attending salesman was VERY professional and helpful and explained everything in specific detail .nHis name was Nelson and he was definitely on point about everything we asked for !!!
So this is a story of frustration. I have always used UHaul for for every move I have done. The Uhaul sales associate reserved a truck for me for pick up at 4pm, at 4:11pm, while driving to pick up I get a call that the person extended it. They tried to work out deal with to get a truck for $70 with 100 free miles due me having to drive 40 miles to pick it up. The truck was $40 rental and $30 in mileage charges, when I questioned the sales associate about why I have $30 in miles with 100 free miles, he got rude and told me he was just trying to help but there is nothing more he can do for me. Desperately needing a truck, I decided to call Penske. Not only did they have the exact size that I needed but because the distance was so short he took 30 cents a mile. I picked up the truck and was on my way. The Uhaul rental that fell through took about a hour to locate and process, Penske took about 10 minutes. Needless to say, I am no longer going to use Uhaul and Penske won my business by being upfront and fair and making the rental process as painless as possible.
Never tell you ALL THE HIDDEN FEES until you get there!!! No wonder Uhaul is still ranked number 1
The truck I reserved was not available at pickup time. The staff was not helpful or hospitable. I would recommend renting a Penske truck from another location.
