My parents have been without electricity since 7:00 pm 12/24/20. It is now 12/27/20 and their power is still out. I have called to report the outage for them several times. They claim on the recording that someone checks the inbox every hour. The inbox has been full and I was unable to leave a message for well over 24 hours. They also had the same outage message since 12/24/20 stating that it should be fixed by 9:15 pm on 12/24/20. Hello it’s not the 24 th anymore. Newport Utilities needs some kind of action taken against them. They are overpriced and unreliable. We are all sick of them. I believe they charge you for more energy that you have actually used. I try very hard and in every way possible to save energy and my meter and app still show that I’ve used a lot of kilowatts. Shady!!!!I feel that if they can read your meter from their company that they can also manipulate how many kilowatts you’ve used.

Our power has been out since 8:00 pm on Christmas Eve. It is now6:16 on Christmas Day. We had to resort to coming down our snow covered driveway and go to a motel in Pigeon Forge. I might add that we do not have a fireplace or wood burning stove to rely upon. Thankfully, we have a cell phone. However, service in Bybee is not good.

This company has always been very easy to work with, pleasant and professional. In the fourteen months I've been with Newport utilities we've had two power outages, but that's not bad at all considering I live way out in the middle of the woods. Their rates are good and my monthly bills are very predictable.nI just cannot say enough about how easy and pleasant they are to work with. Every time I've called them I've just been so impressed.

Charged me for over tripple the normal water usage for 2 months. Claimed I had a water leak. They said it cost me 60 to see if the issue was on their end. The leak magically repaired itself and went away. I questioned it they ignored me.

I've been waiting 7 weeks for internet. My wife has lost her job because of it. Everytime we call and ask when they will show up we are told you are not important enough and it will be 2 more weeks. I can't use any other internet service because of my were I live and they know it.
