Walmart Pharmacy

The people that work here are heros. My meds are always ready on time, or ready within an hour if I screw up and order them after my prescription expires (I've only been on daily meds for 3 years. It's happened 3 times...). This weekend, I desperately needed an antibiotic for my 4 year old daughter. Unfortunately, Walmart didn't have the quantity I needed. I was immediately informed of this by the pharmacist on duty, Kristen, and given the option to divert the prescription to a different pharmacy (as in NOT Walmart) or to change the strength of the dose. I chose that, as it would be the difference between one and two cups of medicine. Then, the fun began! Kristen, the young man who originally helped me, and a young woman (I believe her name was Mya?) all went to task getting it ready for me. After 20 minutes, Mya? came to tell me there was an issue with the paperwork (I think it was because I used a walk in) and they were working to get ahold of the right person to authorize the dosage change (an MD has to approve it). After another few minutes of watching all 3 of them flit around like bees in summer, I decided to leave since the brave girl deserved ice cream! It was all figured out less than an hour later, and when I went to pick it up, Kristen apologized again for the wait. I just thanked her for all the work she did, and BOY am I grateful she recommended the stronger dose! My 4 year old wanted bubblegum flavor, and this antibiotic is strawberry. You wouldn't believe the fight she puts up to get the one cup down! I'm so glad I don't have to do 2! Thanks again to Kristen, Mya?, and the tall guy with glasses too! I'm so glad this is my home town pharmacy!

Usually they are super nice and friendly but yesterday was downright ridiculous. They were dead and I asked the pharmacist the best medicine to give a 3 year old and she said nothing because they'll get too many side effects. I then asked her what's the best to give a pregnant woman and she said same answer and walked away. Very unhelpful and not even willing to help. I know there are medicines out there so the fact she didn't even try to suggest something really threw me off. Rude!!!
