Fort Sill Post Cemetery

It is a good place to have a moment of silence. Reflections. Have a snack or lunches with loved ones. Place flowers on gravesites of family and friends and randomly placed.

My grandfather & grandmother are buried here, but I found it to be beautiful way before tthe passed. I used to go to visit the graves on the hill because as a child I had read about Cynthia Ann Parker and her amazing life among the Comanche. Her grave is there along with that of her little girl Prairie Flower. It is a peaceful place to visit and very well kept. I hate not living closer and sadly since my grandparents have passed, I have only been able to return to visit once but I know that their grave site is very well cared for. I love that when my oldest daughter went to boot camp it was there at Fort Sill & that she was able to visit them for me.

This is a great place to go for history buffs. To walk through the cemetery is to truly walk through history. The grounds are well kept and stand as a true testament to those who rest here.
