lined up a load to be picked up in 2 places in Chicago area, driver picks up first load then says he's out of hours, on a Friday.. Now we have to pay double to get the load picked up.
Love it here. Not been driving for them long yet but definitely see my future driving years here. Treat me like family and know their drivers by name and not just a number.
The best .
Good place for beginners because they will train you for 8 weeks and let you get home daily with no experience. Dispatchers are nice and laid back. The owner is a good guy and you will see his face around the terminal. You’ll have an assigned truck, OTR Guys get the nicer/newer trucks. That’s about it, pay is pretty low, you’ll start around $14/hr, no higher. Former HR told me that no local driver will ever make more than $16. They have health insurance but the best plan is still a $2500 deductible, pretty high, especially when you only make $14/hr. I worked here for a year to build my experience and then moved on to better things because I got into trucking to make more than $30k a year. Being responsible for 80,000 lbs going 70mph is worth a little more than that.
