The whole crew at Dwellings made our house in Asheville a home. We were fortunate to meet Tanya and Chris in-store. They were patient with us and allowed us the freedom to browse and come to the conclusion that we could really utilize Tanya’s expert eye, design style and knowledge of inventory, both in-store and elsewhere, to make our visions a reality. Tanya came to our house, took measurements, listened and helped us with choices that made sense with our aesthetic. She was there to ensure all was delivered according to plan and placed with expert care. We were fortunate to have our dining, living, and bedrooms perfectly appointed. We loved our experience so much that when we moved to Tampa, FL for a new job opportunity, we immediately thought of Tanya to again help in making our new house our new home. In these crazy times, they’ve proved the remote model works...we took pictures and videos and measurements, and once again, were listened to, provided choices, and are thrilled with each piece selected. Brady was excellent on delivery and set-up of the pieces, despite the 600+ mile trek. We really appreciate the services and expertise of Tanya and Chris and all the staff at Dwellings. We are thrilled to have them on our side, particularly as we look around and are constantly reminded of the wonderful interactions!

Dwellings is such an asset to Asheville. Chris, Tonya, Shari and the team are super helpful. As an interior designer, I value their assistance & suggestions, as well as ordering fabric samples & taking good care of my clients. Everyone is attentive: makes the ordering & installation process effortless. We recently did a sofa sectional for a client and she raves how comfortable, well-made and stylish it is.

Great products, not friendly! Sarah, was great, she helped us over the phone to put something on hold and send us the dimensions. So, THANK YOU SARAH!nnHowever, when we arrived, the woman we dealt with was not friendly at all. I have to agree with the other reviews, I can buy everything they have but with friendlier people to buy from. The attitude of the workers, other than Sarah, are going to sink this place. Goto any other furniture store in Asheville and you’ll have a better experience. Nothing worse than buying expensive furniture and feeling like you’re bothering the people who are selling it to you. We were THE ONLY people in the entire place. Sucks that we were such a hassle to sell something to.

The owner of the store is very rude. He was completely annoyed by me asking questions about a piece of furniture I wanted to buy. I left and ended up ordering what I wanted at another store in town. If you want a good experience, I'd go elsewhere.nn***In response to your follow up- The reason you don't recognize my name is because you never asked what it was, and I ended up not making a purchase with you. You were very rude and clearly irritated by my questions, acting as if I were lucky to have found your store, not the other way around. I was your only customer at the time. You were also quick to speak against your competitors, even mentioning that I'll never find what you sell anywhere else around there. Saying that you were the only place that had anything good in the area. I never even asked about anyone else around you. Either way, you couldn't have been more wrong. Just down the road I found a well known home store that had access to exact item I would have gladly purchased from you if my experience with you was different. Not only were they warm and kind, they were also happy to answer a few simple questions. They didn't feel the need to mention why they were better than everyone else around them or that I would never find what they have anywhere else. They were professional and I was happy to spend my money there and have continued to do so.nnThank you for your offer to discuss this issue with you over the phone or via email. I could see your true colors that day and that won't be necessary. I would hate to imagine how unpleasant it would be dealing with you if I had purchased something from your store and had a problem with it down the road. I just want others to be aware of what they could be dealing with. There ARE other places around that have access or can get everything you sell and are happy help customers when they walk in. At the end of the day, the only thing separating you from anyone else in your line of business is the experience one has while in your store.
