We go by this place at least once a month.nThey are very friendly peoples. I love the food. Love the cookies,hard ice cream, and peanuts,and fruits. They sale soap. I do believe handmade bars they smell nice. Sell clothrs and trinkets
We love Shady Acres and stop by almost every visit to the beach! Food is good, people are friendly. This week, however, I bought a package of Southern Cookies that are usually delicious. This package smelled and tasted like rancid oil. I was very surprised...had to throw them away! So, watch out for those but it doesn't change my positive opinion of Shady Acres as a good place to stop and eat.
Its run really well. Like a well oiled machine. We noticed how clean everything was immediately. The patio dining area was spotless and I thought to myself it was the cleanest patio experience ever. My family loved the food. I had the crayfish platter and enjoyed it all. My husband loved his hamburger steak with onions and commented that his jalapeños corn bread was amazing. I bought the amish soap we used in the bathroom.
What a great place. Wonderful food with plenty of outdoor seating. Burgers are delicious,ribs fantastic, hot and crisp onion rings. General store is chocked full of goodies. A must stop if you are driving by.
I stop here every time I come through! They have a wonderful gift shop and they have a wonderful nursery in the spring and summer and they make some of the best cookies and cakes to grab on you way to or from vacation! They have restaurant that serves really good and fresh food. I would highly recommend shady acres!!
