I walked in to the building, not expecting too much, then was pleasantly surprised with a professional audio equipment supply shop/workshop. I was set up with a quality piece of equipment straight away, which more than suited my needs, at quite the bargain as well. I was even treated to a petite tour of the shop's own creations, in their vintage speakers. I would greatly recommend that anyone looking for quality, vintage, audio equipment search no further than Audio Ventures in Waukesha.
Parts of my M & K subWoofer sort of disintegrated over the years & got a quote when I stopped in. Great repair at price quoted & fixed as promised. Guy/s couldn't have been more friendly & answered all my questions. Very pleased with this place & great sound with sub-woofer is like new again.
I just got back home from Audio Ventures, and I am really happy with their work repairing my Sansui turntable, which I purchased back in 1978 after our Pioneer got stolen from our apartment. This is the second belt change since then, but the unit needed cleaning and lubrication. Andy did a great job of that task, and he got it done (by appointment) in a very timely fashion, disassembled the motor and cleaned out the tar that used to be lubricant! I highly recommend these folks, who also have a fabulous showroom full of audio wonders.
Bill is a great guy! He restored my father-in-law’s 1977 klipshorns. They look and sound fantastic. I would not hesitate to trust Bill with any of your audio needs. He is very knowledgeable, and has a passion for anything audio related. I couldn’t be happier.
I have dealt with Audio Ventures a handful of times over the last ten years. Custom crossover work, vintage gear sales, and receiver repair. In my opinion Bill and Andy are knowledgeable, honest and low-key. I find their prices reasonable and their advice sensible. I feel that they have always tried to do right by me.
