Incredible! I'm from MN so it's the 1st time I've seen above ground tombs. & there are so many graves. The old part where the greenery has taken over the tombs was beautiful. It was an incredible experience . MN cemeteries are so boring compared to these. ♥ufe0f

This site is one of the area’s most scenic, historic cemeteries with its majestic oak-shaded lanes. The first cemetery at this location was Orange Grove, which covers 13 acres and was established around 1885. The addition of Graceland came some years later.nnScattered throughout the cemetery are large mausoleums built by affluent residents, such as the Gray, Noble and Bel families. One can also find more modest tombstone such as the wooden grave marker of infant Minna Watterson, born January 1st, 1909; died May 2, 1910.nnThe cemetery features a Jewish memorial and burial site, a monument commemorating fraternal members of the Woodmen of the World and a section dedicated to War Veterans.nnRecords show that not all who reside in the cemetery have rested in peace... At least 3 individuals now buried in the cemetery were originally entombed at the Corporation Cemetery, on the corner of Moss and Church Streets. As conditions declined at the Moss Street Cemetery, local families began exhuming their loved ones from that site and relocating the deceased to Orange Grove. This includes the Gray, Green and Mullett families.nnIn 1983 the Sons of the American Revolution displayed 50 coffin flags at the site in honor of our Veterans; the display has grown to over 1000 flags placed throughout the cemetery on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.nnAdjacent cemeteries: Two cemeteries can be found just west of Orange Grove. The narrow graveyard facing Broad Street is a paupers’ cemetery known as City Cemetery or Corporation Cemetery #2; the graveyard near the corner of Goos and Carter Street was original named Eastside Cemetery.

Love it when they put up the flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. It grows every year. And like looking at the graves too
