Steve has been providing lessons to our two sons for about 2 years. He keeps them engaged and on task, while also recognizing they are young and will not have 100% focus every week. However, in a relaxed and easy going way rights the ship and gets them back on track. They respond well to his teaching style and methodology, and they have progressed musically far faster and more extensively than we could have imagined. It has been a great experience.

My two daughters have been taking lessons with Mr. Steve for around 2 years. Our experience has been wonderful. Mr. Steve has a relaxed and engaging approach to teaching piano which has fostered a love of learning to play the piano in my children. Mr. Steve offers but does not require his students to perform at two recitals and the WI Federation of Music competition each year. This has helped my children learn to perform for an audience as well as push themselves to achieve mastery of songs that are initially intimidating to them. I would highly recommend Woodland Creek Music.

We highly recommend taking lessons with “Mr. Steve.” My daughters started with him at 5 and 7 years old, and they have continued for the past 9 years! We couldn’t be happier with the pianists they have become under Steve’s direction. While he likes to have fun with the kids, he also encourages them to do their best and strive to succeed whether they’re performing for a recital or a competition or just for their own enjoyment. Couldn’t imagine having any other teacher!

My son has taken piano lessons with Mr. Steve for the last 3 1/2 years. Our experience has only been positive! Steve has a great approach with the kids, challenges them and is very encouraging. The progress my son has made in that short amount of time is incredible. I fully recommend Woodland Creek Music and Steve Burleson to anyone considering piano lessons, or if you've tried elsewhere and you just haven't found the right match for your child.

My daughters (currently 11 and 13) have been taking piano lessons with Steve from Woodland Creek Music for the past couple of years, and we could not be happier with the experience. Steve is great with them, and they have made tremendous progress over the last two years.
