Due to the pandemic I have had a hard time catching up on bills since my husband was laid off and I got a pay cut. From the moment I took out my couches I have paid on time through autopay then May when things took a turn for the worse I was 4 days late on the payment. Now its June and I am struggling more than ever therefore I could not make my monthly payment. Due to this Aarons came to my house without notice to pick up my couches. It was rather embarrassing since I had guests over. I talked to the manager and made an agreement to pay on a certain day. After talking to my husband we decided that since we still didn’t have the money and we disliked how they showed up to my house without warning then we should just give up the furniture. I received a call from Aarons and spoke to a woman named Carol she did inform me that there was nothing else they could do for me and that since it was the last day if the month they had to pick up the furniture today. I informed her no one was going to he home until 2 days later she stated that I was detaining unpaid merchandise. I did explain to her that it was not my intention to keep merchandise from being collected. She informed me that they would have to get the furniture and that was that. She threatened to have the cops come to my house for keeping unpaid merchandise. I told her to go ahead because that was not the case it was just impossible to do at the moment and that nobody would be home. I did ask my mom to go open the house door but she could not stay due to her job. Carol then proceeded to tell me that I was making this more difficult than it had to be. I was not trying to make the situation difficult at all I was just trying to find a way to get them the merchandise without the cops being involved. As I tried to think of a resolution I called back to speak with her. I called the store 5 times and there was no answer I am almost positive they were ignoring my call. I do not want to seem crazy or unprofessional because I am doing my best to come up with a solution. I called customer service and filed a complain am I currently waiting for a regional manager to call me. I did not come on here to rant or shame the business. I am just customer struggling during this pandemic and its very upsetting that they are not willing to work with me. I even asked if they could add another month to my contract and take the payment out in July as scheduled, if they could just excuse this month in my time of hardship. If this is the type of company that does not care about their customers then I definitely do not want to continue my business with them especially after being threatened multiple times about the cops coming to my home.
