College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving

Had a great experience with College Hunks. They recently moved me and I was very happy with their service. Moving is not fun, but these guys made everything so much easier for me, and we even had some fun along the way. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. I really wouldn’t listen to the negative reviews. There is always a sour apple in the bunch. I would absolutely use them again! Thanks!

Do your research before using this company to move your belongings! In February 2021 we used them to move our furniture and it turned out horrible and it has still not been remedied as I was promised it would be by one of the owners Bobby Dooley.nThe problems started when several pieces of furniture were arriving from the truck damaged. Really damaged. I wish I could post pictures to show. We were present when they loaded then unloaded the furniture as this was a local move so we know for a fact that they damaged it.nAs I was seeing damage on several pieces I let one of the guys know that we needed to talk about this damage. I let one of them know who in return acted very defensively and mad and left to make a call to his supervisor. My husband saw him outside shouting on the phone to apparently his supervisor trying to somehow blame us.nI want to note that these guys from the time they arrived were moving slowly as if this were their first moving job. Not even prepared. We contracted their help by the hour so while we weren’t expecting them to race by any means, they were moving very slowly and there were 3 of them. One in particular, the one who made the call to his supervisor was acting like a hothead. My husband observed them struggling to get our sofa through the doorway until the hothead finally shoved it through causing damage to the legs and the leather.nWe also realized a ceramic bunny head was missing. My husband saw it before they moved the furniture. I have to assume it was broken and they swept it away while we weren’t looking but I can’t replace that and they didn’t tell us that they broke it.nBobby Dooley one of the owners arrived and I was expecting to talk calmly about what was going on but instead he started by saying we had requested a quick move which we never did. He was essentially blaming us for his guys damaging our furniture. We were floored. He promised to have a furniture repair person he knew to come out and fix our pieces. He looked us in the eye, gave us his business card and said the repairs would be on him. We have yet to hear from any repair person or him. We’ve called and left a message but never heard back. I can’t believe how we were treated. I think he needs to retrain his movers or his business will be driven into the ground. People will not let these things go. Be very careful who you hire.

First off, I think the 1 star review written by Chris and Chrissy Phinney is probably a little over the top. Anyone that writes a review that long, probably is impossible to please anyways. Sorry...nnTheir services do match up to the rest of the 5 star reviews. A fantastic team, with nice guys. They were quick, and handled my stuff with care. They wrapped all my furniture up safely. They did an awesome job! THANK YOU!

Great company - the bad reviews in my opinion are due to the persons negligence on their part. Had a fantastic experience with the moving team and the office team doing a local move for my personal items. Shrink wrapped and blanketed everything. Nothing damaged not even a small scratch. Great job College Hunks will definitely use you again!!!

I’d like to thank Daniel, Travis, and Alonso, who were all really kind and courteous. I felt like my belongings and my home were respected, and they seemed to work really well as a team. I appreciated that even though one team member seemed new, they didn’t make him struggle on his own or possibly damage any of our items, and instead were patient and taught him on the job. I think that’s a sign of good company ethics, and a strong work ethic on part of the employees.nnWhen we have to move again one day, we will definitely be using college hunks.
