I went there for the very first time a week ago. I needed a guitar set up kind of fast but I didn't want to be pushy so I didn't say anything. I had a friend that wanted to play it in a gig in a few days. However, the owner could still tell I was in a bit of a hurry. It happened that he wasn't busy and it was during my lunch time so he took a look quick, set it up and it plays beautifully now. That is GREAT customer service that you don't see often anymore. It might be true what the other person said about the selection of guitars, but to me this is a great shop for minor repairs and setups, friendly guitar and music talk, and excellent for beginner to intermediate guitarists. He would definitely be able to give your child or yourself the motivation to start or continuing playing guitar. I am on my way there now to pick up a few guitar strings. Keep your local shops around, buy local whenever you can =)
They have a good selection of Music supplies for beginners not a great inventory if you're looking for something in particular
