Peaceful resting place for some of the earliest Beloit residents as this is one of the oldest cemeteries in Beloit. The folks for which many locations and streets in Beloit are named are interred here. Looking at historical maps of Beloit from the 1880's this cemetery was outside of the city, along with Calvary Cemetery a block over, to the East. Now, the cemetery is surrounded by a pretty quiet neighborhood and the small Strong Park. It is a pretty large cemetery and it is well taken care of, with respect.
