Every time I'm in Racine, I stop in at Lehmann's Bakery to get some siebenfelder bread, the best bread in the universe. I went to the Spring Street location, and panicked when I saw it was gone. So, I called the Sturtevant location keeping my fingers crossed they hadn't closed for the day yet. Phew! They were still open. So, driving through corn fields to avoid traffic, and ignoring stop signs and traffic signals when forced to use a road, I made it there just in time to buy the last loaf of siebenfelder on the shelf. Usually I buy two, one to take home and one to scarf down on the way home. I settled for one, and summoned all the self control I could to get that precious loaf all the way home.
Our boys love the donuts cookies and ice cream here. Nice local shop we found.
Fresh baked kringles are the best.
Get a kringle and an orange cookie!
I love this place, but we really miss the Spring street location!
