This salon is a hit or miss. Before I moved out of downtown a couple of months ago, I was getting my acrylic nails done here for 3 years. The couple that own and work at the salon are Kim and Jason. They keep it clean and tidy in the salon and have an awesome selection of colors for regular polish, gel polish, and dips.nnKim does an amazing job with acrylics and gels. She does a fill in about 45 minutes which is very fast but she is willing to help you get the nails you desire!nnJason has his good and bad days. On his good days, my nails come out great! But sometimes when I have requests like to make my nails shorter, he seems annoyed and will shorten one hand and not the other because it will take longer. He also takes about 45 minutes for a fill, but expect him to get up randomly to go outside and hit a cigarette a couple of times just for him to come back in with it to save for later. I don't mind smokers, but it's just unprofessional.nnThey seem to work fast to get customers out the door, which I don't mind as long as my nails come out well. There has been issues with appointments where they will accept a walk in, but someone with an appointment arrives and they have no one to help them, so they end up waiting and defeats the whole purpose of an appointment.nnThey do good work, just be aware that there may be some unsettling activities. Such as angry customers that have appointments but wait more than 20 minutes, their kids run around a bit or stay in the back room, Jason sometimes sleeps in the waiting chairs or makes odd comments/remarks that surprise you that it's coming from the guy running the shop. Give it a chance, you may like it, or not.

I had a not so great experience but a friend recommending coming back for the dip manicure. AM I GLAD I DID!!! $50, I thought was a little expensive for the area but after she did them, I was so impressed. Honestly best dip manicure I’ve ever had and she was really efficient time wise. I won’t be going anywhere else for dip again!!! Will update on how long they last.nnNote: the salon is not very “spa like” if that is what you’re looking for. The people are friendly but watching tv, kids around, etc. this doesn’t bother me but if you’re the type looking for a tranquil relaxing environment, this might not be the option for you.
