Memory Gardens Cemetery

I'm applaud on management there! Throwing away flowers, vases, flags, and other memorable items! The lady on phone from Memory Gardens told me more than welcome go through TRASH and get my son items out! WTH!

Memory Gardens has absolutely dropped the ball on their ‘perpetual maintenance’ and promise to respect and honor my sister’s final resting place. When we buried her 2 years ago, it was during a drought. We were told there would be grass, new irrigation and improvements throughout the cemetery immediately. So our family didn’t have to go through finding burial places again, our family purchased 40 plots. In 2 years, we have seen More dirt. Tire tracks all over my sister’s grave and when my mother has went out to beautify the space we paid for, we have found her efforts uprooted and tossed behind a dumpster. When we called, management touted a policy of ‘uniformity’ for all plots and ease of maintenance as their reasoning for ripping up what we had done (only on her plot btw — not hurting anyone - but providing comfort to my family). If the grounds were kept and resembled a ‘garden’ then it would be fine. But if they aren’t going to give my sister the place she deserves — and the place we deserve to use as a place to visit her — then we expect to be able to. Unfortunately, the reviews and complaints speak for themselves. We were told not to use Memory Gardens and we didn’t listen bc we wanted her buried close. But visiting her in this dust bowl filled with dirt, tire tracks and weeds is a disgrace to her memory. Do not let them fleece you out of your money and make promises they have no intention of keeping. Read the reviews. Same excuses since Serenity & Co purchased the property. It is sickening.

WE HAVE LIVED IN AZTEC FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN MEMORIAL GARDEN LOOK THIS HORRIBLE. THE LAST FEW YEARS IT HAS BEEN IGNORED , ON 5/23/19 IS THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE EVEN SEEN ANYONE ATTEMPING TO DO ANY MAINTENANCE.

Memory garden is turning in to the Shiprock cemetery.... it use to b beautiful...

Extremely disappointed with the upkeep of my grandfather’s grave and the cemetery overall. Weeds overgrowing a large portion of his gravestone, dried dirt/mud covering up his name. This was the case for many of the surrounding graves as well. He was a Korean War veteran who received a Purple Heart defending his country. I am enraged by how poorly his final resting place has been treated. Completely disrespectful to him, our family, and to all the people laid to rest at Memory Gardens. Whoever owns/manages this place should be ashamed!!
