Since Gerhards has such a good reputation, we expected high quality cabinets. However, the painted hardwood Kemper Echo cabinets we had installed 9 months ago are lower quality, especially noticeable on the doors and shelves. Gerhards replaced two warped doors and a warped shelf. We were disappointed in the overall quality but even after Neil saw them in person he could do no more than give us sympathy on the incomplete paint in the inside of the doors, the unsanded rough-cut edges of the shelves, and the dings, holes, and imperfections throughout the cabinets. We really liked the staff we worked with, and we really like the beautiful black sink (but the matching black flange on the garbage disposal began to flake after 8 months and Gerhards apologized but said Insinkerator has no warranty on the flange and Gerhards doesn't back up the products separately.) I suggest getting the most expensive line of cabinets if you order through Gerhards, or you'll wish you ordered through Menards -- by the time you see the cabinets installed you are stuck with the quality.

I want to give Sarah Metcalf a HUGE thank you for helping me with my decisions on a bathroom remodel. I needed everything from a tub/shower to a toilet, double sink and vanity. I brought in floor samples, and she helped me decide which looked best. I made four trips to Gerhards with questions and Sarah was there to help. Thank goodness this store was open on Saturdays, because every other bath place I drove to was closed!

Well stocked bath and kitchen showroom floor with many name brand displays. Great way to get design ideas for building or remodeling.
