It’s a quiet and relaxing place to go enjoy the view. Sometimes I go on my lunch break and other times after work to see the sun set and glisten of the water
Fascinating place. Very quiet. We saw deer while we were there. Island is surrounded by trees so it is totally cut off from the outside. Many grave sites from the 1800's.
The Evergreen Cemetery was suggested to me as a stop to view the Civil War memorial there. The location is beautiful and secluded. It is an old cemetery and that is reflected by some really excellent markers.nThe Civil War memorial is right in the front gate and is beautiful. It is entirely metal and very well kept. t my visit there were coins on the pedestal at the figure 's feet and someone had recently placed a fresh rose on it. If you're a cemetery buff or into local Civil War history this is a good place to check out.
Fri the 13th and the full moon peeked out of the dark sky the grave stones look like skyscrapers
