Whenever we are camping nearby, we always make a point of stopping at Pleasant View Bakery. This Amish bakery has excellent cookies, pies, bread, donuts, etc. The workers are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Expect a line to get in to the bakery on Friday and Saturdays. They are closed on Thursdays and Sundays, as is customary amongst the local Amish businesses.nUpdate- During the winter season, they are only open on Fridays and Saturdays.
I love coming here!! Got a fresh pretzel!! It was the best!! I got a lemon meringue pie and a strawberry rhubarb. So delicious!! I am definitely going to buy a jalapeno cheese loaf of bread next time i go. They were putting fresh things out as we were in line.
Love their baked goods! Can't wait to go again! Everything was freshly made! Anyone reading this needs to go there... just not on a day that I go there, so that the goodies that I want aren't sold out.
By far the best bakery around. Arrive early and the donuts are still warm! By far the best, melt in your mouth chocolate donuts ever. Bring lots of cash. Even though their prices are reasonable, you will end up buying more than you anticipated. Pro tip....bring your own milk and enjoy in the parking lot!!!! Well worth the hour drive.
This little bakery was adorable and full of tasty treats at great prices. Hearing all the women sing softly as they bake, and other people whistling, just doing honest work with happy faces. Peaceful!
