Vermont Apple Pies Bakery

Never buy pies, ever, since they are never as good as homemade.....until now. The apple pie was really good and not over sweet.....worth the drive and the price.

Great food. Excellent selection of fresh pancakes with fruits and toppings. Omelette was delicious. Everything seemed really fresh. Plan on being there for a while as the service is very slow.

Their food is absolutely amazing! We drive 3.5 hours just to eat here. This is a for sure stop every time we go to Vermont.nThe restaurant is charming and quaint, but does have limited seating, so be prepared to sit and wait for a few (sometimes upward of an hour and a half)...believe me, it is well worth the wait!nPancakes are fantastic, and her eggs are always cooked perfectly.nHighly recommend just about everything on the menu!nCheryl and Charlie are wonderful people who will truly take the time to talk with you in their kitchen. The food is so good, you just have to thank her personally. I'm so glad we found this gem, I hope she stays cooking forever.

DO NOT go to this place! First of all, the restaurant is in a neighborhood behind someone’s house. There is also a plumbing business in the same building. When we walked in we had to wait at the bottom of the stairs. Eventually a guy came to the top of the stairs and yelled down asking us how many people we had. He told us to come upstairs and he motioned for us to sit at a table while he was dealing with a much larger table. While we were waiting, we overheard him tell the other table that they accept cash only and if they absolutely had to pay with a card then there would be an up charge, making their bill over $200 dollars! He poured my husband a cup of coffee and walked off to take a phone call. He came out from the kitchen, talking on the phone while it was on speaker, serving another table their food. He walked back in the kitchen and finished his phone call. He came out to our table 10 minutes later, only acknowledging me, not my husband, rudely asking what I would like. We told him that we only wanted the coffee (as we did not want to have to pay with card due to the up charge) and he huffed loudly, rolling his eyes and then abruptly told us that it would be $2. We gave him the money and he threw our change on the table and walked away.nAlso, they charge you $5 if you want to share a meal with someone. The prices are outrageous and this place it not worth your time.

Terrible food, rude and dishonest server. He asked if we wanted cider AFTER taking away the menu so we had no way to see that they were 8 bucks a pop. The food is gross. Save yourself the hassle and stop at a gas station. The food will be fresher and atmosphere more plesent.
