Bassett Home Furnishings

Purchased two couches and an ottoman in early November. We went to pick them up today and one couch was the wrong color (we ordered two identical couches). We haven’t heard back yet as they try to locate where our other couch is if it was a mix-up — or if it was truly made in the wrong color. They did offer to deliver the other couch when they found it/remade it, so we will see how this turns out! I’ll update my review after the issue has been resolved well. I know mistakes happen, so I’m not super upset now, but I am looking forward to getting the correct couch by the time company comes for Christmas.

Purchased quick a few pieces a few years ago, the salesperson was friendly and helpful, had a great experience there. Not anymore. Stopped by recently, the salesman was very rude, he has the attitude of he knows better and looks down on you.nnThe furnitures are really low quality, everything starting to have problems here and there after half a year of lightly use. When I say lightly, I don’t mean as we use it for couple of hours per day, I meant as we use it for couple of hours per week. The fabric of the sofa is super easy to get ripped open, just by sitting. The side table somehow becomes unstable without any heavy items placed on it. The bedroom chest just cannot have it’s drawers fully closed even without anything in it.nnNow the worst part is the warranty. When I purchased it, I was told if I don’t use it for 5 years, I’ll get the money back. It made sense to me, you get your peace of mind, they hold the money for 5 years and can use it for investment, win-win. Then I went to the store and try to process this, I was told the term was never giving me money back, but used as store credit. What’s even worse, you cannot use the credit for more than 50% of the purchase, so you need to spend more money. And “It was always like this”, a brochure was given to me claiming that’s how it works. First, I kept all the record of the sales, that brochure never existed, there was a similar brochure, but no “spend more money” term was mentioned. Second, the brochure given to me was not dated in any way. I guess that’s how Bassett do business, tells you one thing, then give you a brochure a few years later to say otherwise.nnI’m not going to spend more money on Bassett to “get warranty money” back. I’m believe when you are dealing with company or person with no integrity, the best way is to walk away. Good luck on anyone considering buying here for your new inspiration.

We love our furniture from Bassett. Hand crafted in the USA and excellent quality. It's a little pricey but after searching at 10+ furniture stores, the quality is by far the most exceptional. Good customer service and everything was as expected and explained. The delivery men were on time and set up everything nicely

Bought a Bassett bed frame last week and had a horrible experience. The bed frame we planned to pick up from the store and when we arrived, part of the bed frame was already wrapped. The rest of it had spider webs on it and not taken out. The customer service was horrible as well the quality as there were multiple scratches. When we finally went home and open the wrapped up part, one of the wooden log had a big crack and it was broken from the middle. This was supposed to be the base of the bed. This is such an expensive store and the quality was so bad. I am very disappointed as they tried to make a fool of us.
